Happy New Year and Happy Lohri! ✨
As we step into a brand new year, we’re filled with excitement, gratitude, and hope for everything that lies ahead at Tiny Culture. New years always bring fresh beginnings, but this January felt especially meaningful for our family.
This month, we celebrated Kiara’s Lohri — a moment that held deep personal and cultural significance for us. Lohri is a North Indian harvest festival that marks the end of winter and the passing of the winter solstice, welcoming longer, brighter days ahead. Traditionally celebrated with glowing bonfires, folk songs, joyful dancing like Bhangra and Gidda, and festive treats such as peanuts, and jaggery (gur), Lohri is a communal celebration rooted in gratitude, hope, and new beginnings.
Beyond the festivities, Lohri is also a time to celebrate the joyful milestones of the past year — weddings, the birth of a child, and the growth of families. It’s a reminder to reflect and give thanks for life’s blessings.
Lohri holds a particularly special place in our hearts at Tiny Culture because it’s the celebration that sparked our journey. When Kaius had his Lohri, we struggled to find something cultural, comfortable, and meaningful for him to wear. That moment planted the seed for Tiny Culture.
This year, celebrating Kiara’s Lohri felt incredibly full-circle. For the first time, we were able to dress her in the perfect outfit — one created with intention, comfort, and culture at its core. We gathered with family, shared food, sang songs, and lit a bonfire to commemorate not only the festival, but the joy and excitement of watching our family grow.

As we move into this new year, we’re reminded of why Tiny Culture exists: to honour traditions, celebrate milestones, and help families create meaningful memories rooted in culture. Thank you for being part of our journey — we can’t wait to share everything this year has in store.
