Tiny Culture was founded by two lifelong friends who met in a Grade 7 music class when they were 12 years old. What began as a childhood friendship grew alongside them through school, careers, marriage, and eventually motherhood. Years later, during one of their catch up calls, both found themselves searching for purpose. Dilpreet was navigating postpartum anxiety while Tasha was dealing with stressful life transitions in marriage and corporate life.
During their call, Dilpreet expressed challenges dressing her son for his first Lohri celebration. She struggled to find cultural baby clothing that were soft, functional, and comfortable enough for everyday wear. She layered a onesie underneath traditional outfits to keep her baby comfortable not realizing other parents were doing the same. After hearing similar stories from family and friends, they realized this wasn't just an issue Dilpreet experienced, there was a gap in the market.
From that moment, Tiny Culture was born: a baby brand that uses fashion to introduce little ones to cultures around the world. As daughters of immigrant families, they grew up surrounded by the traditions, stories, and sacrifices that shaped who they are. Tiny Culture is their way of honouring that legacy while helping parents raise the next generation of global citizens.
