Explore March Break in Toronto: Culture, Play & Cozy Family Moments
Hi Everyone!
March break is quickly approaching and if you're like me you're looking for free or or low cost activities around the city I've done some research to make your search easier. Its the perfect time to slow down, explore the city, and create meaningful family memories especially right here in Toronto.
One of the best places to start is the Toronto Public Library. Beyond books, TPL offers free March Break programming including crafts, performances, STEM workshops, and interactive story times. With a library card, families can also reserve Museum + Arts Pass (MAP) tickets for free access to some of the city’s most loved attractions (https://tpl.ca/using-the-library/services/map).
Through MAP, you can visit:
-
Art Gallery of Ontario – Hands-on art spaces and inspiring exhibits for all ages
-
Royal Ontario Museum – Dinosaurs (a favourite of my son), natural history, and cultural galleries
-
Harbourfront Centre – Waterfront walks, seasonal programming, and family art activities
Passes become available the first Wednesday of each month. March break passes will be available Wednesday March 4, 2026 at 2 pm. Be sure to log in on time to reserve yours! Don't forget to check out our Instagram (@tinycultureofficial) for a step by step guide to grabbing your pass and a full list of attractions.
If your little ones have extra energy to burn, consider indoor fun at K1 Speed Toronto for go-karting thrills, or explore downtown entertainment at The Rec Room.
Also don't forget that the GO train and UP express are free for kids 12 and under!
Hope everyone has a great March Break!
